Before you request a policy expert from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to speak at your fly-in briefing, there are a few pieces of information we’ll need from you before we can schedule:

Date

If you’re planning to meet with your congressional representatives during your trip, make sure to choose dates based on when both the House and Senate are both in session. Check out this helpful calendar  – the yellow dates are when both chambers are in session.

Timing

Please let us know your preferred timing of the briefing – time of day, duration, etc. If you share a draft of your ideal agenda, we can help you determine the best placement for a U.S. Chamber speaker, if needed. We very strongly recommend that you meet with the U.S. Chamber before you go to your meetings on the Hill or federal agencies. We can answer questions and help you prep your talking points for those meetings.

Topics

We have a plethora of policy experts on a very broad array of issues. Below is a list of popular topics requested. Consider your own legislative priorities and goals of your fly-in trip and select topics based on that.

  • Broadband Policy
  • Climate/Environmental Policy
  • Cybersecurity
  • Economic Forecast
  • Employment Policy
  • Energy Policy
  • Equality of Opportunity
  • Federal Legislative Update
  • Healthcare Policy
  • Immigration Policy
  • Infrastructure/Transportation
  • Liability
  • Litigation Update
  • Political Outlook
  • Small Business Outlook
  • Supply Chain Disruption
  • Tax Policy
  • Tech Policy

Location

See our list of recommendations for briefing venues.

Number of People

It’s helpful for us to know how many attendees you expect and what the format of the briefing will be (i.e. a podium in front of two hundred people, or an intimate conversation at a conference table).
