WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will bring the largest-ever U.S. business delegation to a COP as part of a major engagement that includes over 20 events demonstrating the business community’s commitment to climate solutions.
More than 85 companies will join the Chamber for what will be the largest U.S. Department of Commerce certified trade mission to a United Nations Climate Conference in history. In addition, dozens of other companies will be participating in Chamber events throughout COP28.
“Business is serious about delivering solutions to our climate challenge, as evidenced by the more than $346 billion of investments announced for EVs and clean energy manufacturing and power projects just in the last two years,” said Marty Durbin, Senior Vice President for Policy at the Chamber. “The Chamber’s programming at COP28 will demonstrate the breadth of the commitment and the investments that businesses across the economy are making to drive down emissions, enhance climate resilience and adaptation, and advance priorities like food and water security. We know more must be done, and the business community will help drive the innovation and technology that is needed.”
