Kristen is a Pulitzer Prize-winning editor with a background in political, business and opinion journalism, as well as audience growth and engagement. She uses all those skills to help tell the Chamber’s story to a growing audience.
She joined the Chamber from USA TODAY, where, as Opinion Editor, she led editorial board meetings with foreign leaders, Cabinet members, NGO officials, and business leaders. Before moving to Opinion, she was Managing Editor for politics and world, leading coverage of the Trump administration, the 2020 presidential election, and the inauguration.
She previously was at The Arizona Republic, where she was Senior Director for digital and audience growth. She was part of teams that were finalists for breaking news Pulitzer Prizes in 2012 and 2014 and part of the team that won the 2018 prize for explanatory reporting for an in-depth examination of then-candidate Trump’s pledge to build a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico.
She and her husband live in northern Virginia with their two daughters.
