Biden-Harris Administration Commemorates Six Month Anniversary of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

May 16, 2022 - To commemorate the six month anniversary of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and showcase progress made so far, the Biden administration released two maps showing announced funding in every state as well as announced project locations. Over $110 billion has been announced and is headed to states, Tribes, territories and local governments with over 4,300 specific projects identified for funding.

April 11, 2022 - The White House released a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Rural Playbook to help state, local, Tribal and territorial governments in rural areas unlock the benefits from the historic investments in our nation’s infrastructure, and launched a rural infrastructure tour led by the President and other senior administration officials to engage rural communities across the country.

U.S. DOT Announces More than $20 Billion for Communities of All Sizes to Support Transit This Year

April 6, 2022 - President Biden and the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced a more than $20 billion investment in American transit, thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The funding levels will provide 58% more funding, enabling transit agencies to modernize and expand services for residents in communities large and small.

March 23, 2022 - Transportation Secretary Buttigieg announced $2.9 billion of funding now available for major infrastructure projects through a combined Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) under President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

U.S. DOT Announces Historic New Funding to Strengthen Port Infrastructure and Supply Chain Resiliency

February 23, 2022 - The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration (MARAD) announced nearly $450 million in newly available grant funding for port-related projects through the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP). These grants can help ports expand capacity and improve the movement of goods through our supply chains.

FCC Moves on New National Broadband Map

February 23, 2022 - The FCC has established September 1, 2022 as the deadline for service providers to submit broadband availability data for inclusion in the long awaited update to the national broadband map. The schedule calls for the commission to begin accepting broadband availability data on June 30, 2022.

Application Process Opens for Airport Terminal Program Funded by Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

February 22, 2022 - The Federal Aviation Administration has opened the application process for airports to submit projects for the first $1 billion of the Airport Terminal Program funded by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The grant will fund safe, sustainable and accessible airport terminals, on-airport rail access projects and airport-owned airport traffic control towers. Airports are encouraged to submit eligible projects by March 28, 2022.

Interior Department Submits Infrastructure Implementation Plan to Congress

February 16, 2022 - Today the Department of Interior submitted its FY 2022 IIJA implementation plan to Congress. This plan covers the roughly $30B in funding Congress provided covering programs like Orphan Wells, wild fires, and water/drought resilience to name a few.

February 3, 2022 - Through the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) discretionary grant program, $1.5 billion will be focused on funding projects located in Areas of Persistent Poverty or Historically Disadvantaged Communities.

President Biden and USDOT Announce $1.2 Billion for Highways in Rural Appalachia

January 25, 2022 - U.S. Department of Transportation announced more than $1.2 billion for the Appalachian Development Highway System (ADHS). This funding will go towards the timely completion of designated corridors in 11 states in the Appalachian region. This critical investment will ensure rural America can be connected to interstate highways and more urban parts of nation.

USDOT Announces $11 Million in Grant Awards for Transit-Oriented Development

January 20, 2022 - FTA announced the award of approximately $11 million to 20 projects in 12 states to support comprehensive planning efforts to improve access to public transportation. Funding through FTA’s Pilot Program for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Planning grants will help organizations plan for transportation projects that connect communities and improve access to transit and affordable housing.

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides a $18.9 million increase in funding for this program over five years. This will expand FTA's ability to support transit-oriented development nationwide.

U.S. Army Corps Posts Funding Distribution by State

January 19, 2022 - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have posted their BIL/IIJA funds distribution. As part of the Civil Works plan, projects and programs that USACE will implement in FY 2022 with the $17.099 billion in supplemental funding can now be accessed. NTIA to Host Broadband Grant Program Public Virtual Listening Sessions

December 6, 2021 – Now through the end of February, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration will host virtual listening sessions open to the public on the five new broadband grant programs authorized and funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

These public virtual listening sessions are designed to collect stakeholder input to help inform program development and implementation.
