The U.S. Chamber of Commerce supports pro-business candidates who advance policies that fuel economic growth and exhibit a clear willingness to back free enterprise policy solutions. The U.S. Chamber understands that for the country to succeed, businesses need to succeed. That’s why the U.S. Chamber is committed to supporting bold and unwavering pro-business advocates.

“I have always worked to be a job creator in our rapidly growing district, focusing on pro-growth conservative solutions,” said Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01). “Small businesses are the backbone of South Carolina’s First Congressional District, and our thriving job market and growing industries are part of what makes this area such an incredible place to live. I greatly appreciate the support of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and I look forward to continuing to support and advocate for conservative policies which allow our businesses to thrive.”

In addition, Rep. Mace told Fox News that “small businesses truly are the backbone of the low country economy, the economy of the 1st Congressional District, so to have the backing of such a strong pro-small business community really means a lot.”

On June 6 and 7, I joined the Chamber's Senior Director of the Southeast Region Clark Jackson were in South Carolina for a series of official and campaign events for Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01).

In coordination with the U.S. Chamber’s political team, the SE Region office, the Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce, the Charleston Chamber of Commerce, the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Mace campaign, the Chamber successfully completed seven events in two days.  The trip included three official roundtables in partnership with local chambers and their members, alongside four endorsement events at South Carolina businesses, and three “Advocate for American Business” award presentations.

Hilton Head Island-Bluffton, SC

The U.S. Chamber partnered with the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce for a roundtable event at the chamber. It was well-attended, and the Congresswoman spoke to their members about supply chain, inflation, the Water Resources Development Act, infrastructure, taxes, workforce, and immigration.

The roundtable was followed by an endorsement event at a local chamber member business, the Burnt Church Distillery, where Ashlee presented Congresswoman Mace with the U.S. Chamber’s endorsement.

Charleston and Summerville, SC

In Charleston, the U.S. Chamber teamed up with the Charleston Chamber to host a business roundtable event with the Congresswoman, where about 25 business leaders came together to discuss tariffs and inflation, the port of Charleston, infrastructure, affordable housing, workforce challenges, and childcare.

That evening, the U.S. Chamber gave its endorsement to the Congresswoman Mace alongside Former White House Trump Chief of Staff and South Carolina Congressman Mick Mulvaney.

“She’s good for South Carolina and she will be good for Washington D.C.,” Mulvaney told local NBC reporters. “I live in South Carolina and still follow politics here very closely. I knew a lot about Nancy and knew a lot about her opponent. I was much more interested to see Mace get involved and win this race because we need that in Washington D.C.”

Rep. Mace’s endorsement was also covered by USA Today, ABCNews4, and Roll Call.
