Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce recently appointed Ashli Watts, President and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber, as its new Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 (CCC100). Ashli replaces Glenn Hamer, President and CEO of the Texas Association of Business, who served as CCC100 Chair for over four years.
“From her leadership in the great state of Kentucky to her contributions on the U.S. Chamber’s Board of Directors, Ashli will be an informed and inspiring leader for this impactful group who are on the front lines of driving economic growth and opportunity across America,” said Sara Armstrong, Vice President and Managing Director, Federation Relations and Grassroots Advocacy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “Ashli’s strong reputation among her peers speaks volumes of her collaborative spirit, and we look forward to working even more closely together. We want to express our appreciation and gratitude to Glenn Hamer for his hard work and service to the CCC100 and the business community during his tenure.”

The CCC100 is comprised of experienced leaders who represent the perspectives and needs of chambers around the country and their membership to the U.S. Chamber. CCC100 members enhance the U.S. Chamber’s lobbying and coalition work, advise the U.S. Chamber on programs and resources needed to serve their members, offer perspective on policy-related issues, and strengthen the U.S. Chamber’s outreach by providing direct engagement opportunities with small businesses and local communities.
Ashli is currently a member of the U.S. Chamber’s Board of Directors and serves on the Nominating and Governance Committee. She has served as the President and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber, the state’s largest business association, since 2019, leading efforts to pass meaningful legislation that supports businesses, workers, and free enterprise. Prior to joining the Kentucky Chamber, Ashli worked at the Kentucky Bar Association and the Legislative Research Commission.
