Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Immigration Policy Jon Baselice released the following statement on the Department of Homeland Security’s H-2B visa announcement:
“The business community welcomes the Department of Homeland Security’s announcement to issue all available supplemental H-2B visas for this fiscal year, and we urge the Department to make these visas available in a timely fashion. While this is welcome news, the relief provided here remains insufficient to meet the seasonal workforce needs of many American companies. Congress needs to do more to provide added certainty and predictability for seasonal businesses that are struggling to fill their job openings.”
