The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s annual Dream Big Awards, presented by Spectrum Reach, celebrate the achievements of small businesses and honors their contributions to America’s economic growth.    

The Green/Sustainable Business Achievement Award, presented by Intuit, recognizes a small business focused on sustainability as a key part of their business. Read more about the businesses in the running below. 

The winner will be announced at the Dream Big Awards Ceremony, part of The Big Week for Small Business virtual event, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 5:00pm ET. Learn more about the other Dream Big Award categories and finalists here.  

Green/Sustainable Business Achievement Award Finalists:

Recyclops, Sandy, UT 

While a student at Brigham Young University, founder and CEO Ryan Smith discovered that millions of U.S. households lacked at-home recycling options. Recyclops brought at-home recycling to underserved communities by leveraging the gig economy and a mobile app. 

Even after the recycling economy collapsed in 2019, the company continues striving to bring recycling services to communities.

JAN-PRO of Utah, Midvale, UT 

After 21 years in the corporate world, Tom Richter, CEO of JAN-PRO of Utah, deciced it was time for a change and got into the business of owning a JAN-PRO cleaning and janitorial franchise. Now, he helps people achieve their goals and dreams of business ownership.

JAN-PRO of Utah provides consistent and reliable service, and their business owners have a vested interest in making sure clients are happy.

GreeNexus Consulting, LLC, Bellaire, TX

Founder and owner Amanda Tullos is dedicated to sustainability and helping clients remove the barriers that surround implementing triple bottom line thinking (environmental impact, social responsibility, and economic value) into the built environment.
