WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer Neil Bradley released the following statement today after the House passed the Senate-passed version of the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border Act of 2019.
“Today Congress showed what committed leadership and bipartisan governing can achieve when they passed urgent legislation to address the growing crisis at our southern border. The Chamber believes that these funds are needed to provide humanitarian aid as well as support to federal government agencies so they can properly carry out their missions. We encourage the President to quickly sign this legislation into law so we can provide critical funds to allow our government to continue addressing this crisis.”
